He is the Reason for All our Seasons

“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.  There is no
speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.”
Psalms 19:1-3

Another translation records…”The heavens are telling the glory of God; they are a marvelous display
of His craftsmanship.  Day and night they keep on telling about God.  Without a sound or word,
silent in the skies, their message reaches out to all the world.”

The sun is 12,000 degrees Fahrenheit.  All the earth’s heat is from the sun.  We are 93 million
miles away…just the right distance.  If the earth’s temperature was 50 degrees hotter or colder,
all life on this planet would cease. Why 12,000 and not 1,200 or 120,000 or 24,000?  Why is the
earth fixed at exactly the right distance for our temperature today and not twice as far or close…
because all life would perish.

This planet rotates 365 times each year as it passes around the sun.  What if it rotated 36 times
instead? Our days and nights would be 10 times as long….terribly hot on one side and unbearably
cold on the other….and life would vanish.

Our oxygen constitutes 21 percent of our atmosphere.  Why not 4 percent or 10 percent or 50
percent? If 50 percent, the first time someone lit a match we’d all be on fire!

Tonight as you watch the winter sky begin to unfold before your eyes, remember the heavens
declare His glory!
He has created this planet for one purpose….to support LIFE!  He
designed us to glorify the Designer!

While you hide away in your heart the greatness of your God, let your faith arise for what He is
about to do in your life!  If He can set this world in order to support life…He can watch over
you and me!

During this Christmas season, remember the real reason of this season is to glorify our
Designer! While this world seeks to erase the memory of this season of His birth, let our
hearts declare a baby was born in a manger and because He now lives…we live also!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
