SPRING BRINGS LIFE…

April 2004

Spring has arrived and my weeds are showing up in full array!  Someone must have planted weed seeds during the winter because they have all sprouted at the first signs of spring.  As beautiful as our hostas and daylilies are, the weeds overpower their beauty.  In order to appreciate the beauty of our spring blooms, the weeds must go!  So it is in our own life…for our fruit to be appreciated, we must keep weeds of bitterness, malice, strife and unforgiveness out of our heart. The weeds will steal the life that belongs to our fruit until our fruit begins to fade.

When He sees that we have good fruit and a potential to bear more fruit or
much fruit,
He prunes our life that the life of the vine will go to the fruit and not to excessive leaves or dead branches.  He prunes us or purges our life by
eliminating things from us that are stealing our time, stealing our joy or leading us away from Him by replacing our fellowship with other things.  He is jealous over our thoughts and jealous over our time and jealous over our heart.  He wants our thoughts, our time, and the fellowship of our heart!  That was the purpose from the beginning.  He created Adam for fellowship.  He wanted someone to walk with His voice in the cool of the day
He still desires our fellowship.  He wants us to walk with Him, hear His voice and share our heart with Him!

As you prepare for spring by planting new flowers, trimming your lawn and
pulling weeds, remember to take notice of your own heart
As we work on the
outward things that can be seen, let us also work on the inward things that can not be seen by anyone but Him!
