January 2007
|
We have entered into a new horizon!
God told Ezekiel never let the people leave the temple the same way
they come in. We have entered 2006 one way and left it another
way. I want to leave 2007 different than I came in. We have
entered into this new year with great expectations of what God has
in store for His people.
We are preparing for our 6th
Annual Spring Family Retreat in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. This year
the meeting will be April 12-14. The meeting begins Thursday at
7:00PM, with 2 services on Friday and ends after the Saturday
morning meeting. Ronnie and I will host a buffet lunch Friday after
the morning meeting. This is always such a great time of fellowship
for everyone. This weekend will be opening weekend for Dollywood.
Dolly Partin will be Grand Marshall of the parade on Hwy 441 at
5:00PM on Friday. Make sure to arrive Thursday or early Friday to
avoid the traffic coming in for the parade. Each year has its own
special visitation. Make your plans now to join us for this time of
refreshing in the presence of the Lord.
Our Ladies Retreat was a great
success again this year. We have videos and dvds of the meetings
available. The women came with expectations and He met with us in
each service. We have such a faithful group of ladies that come
every year to volunteer to help make this meeting a success. They
video tape, take pictures for the web, register the women and serve
at the tape tables. Without a group joining with you with the same
vision…to see lives changed…it would be near impossible. We are so
appreciative of the women who come to help us make this meeting such
a success every year.
This year was our first retreat
without Pastor Sara Hayes, who went to receive her reward this
year. We will miss her beautiful spirit and sweet voice singing,
“He’s My Best Friend” for years to come. Make your vacation plans
now to join us November 15-17, 2007 for our 7th Annual
Ladies Winter Retreat at the same Smoky Mountain Convention Center.
We have mailed out our first monthly tape for
the year. We are offering them either in cassette or cd. If you
would like to receive a monthly sermon or was on the list and have
not received yours this year, email us at
trammellministry@aol.com and request
either cd or cassette. You can also order the past cds from our
tape page.
We have a new tv broadcast in
Illinois this year. We are now on Tuesday at 10:00PM, Friday at
3:00PM and Sunday at 9:00AM. The Sunday morning broadcast is a
special made show just for the Quad Cities area. The others are
clips from our live services. We want to touch lives in 2007
through any avenue available! Please keep us in prayer this year as
we reach out to accomplish even more for Jesus than ever before.
We love you. God bless you. |

| We
are still receiving reports of the touch of God many received at our
6th Annual Spring Retreat. Many came with a testimony of
the difficulty they had to overcome to make this year’s retreat but
they were leaving with their wells full! We had several churches
represented with pastors and evangelists from several different
states. Each pastor and evangelist that preached, prayed, sang and
made this meeting a success is such a blessing to Ronnie and I. |
|
We purposed for this to
be for everyone laboring together and truly is has been. Thank you
to each minister that helped to make this meeting a success. We
were blessed with singers from several churches and four singing
groups. The Moyer Family from Aiken, SC…the praise team from Bible
Church in Johnson City, TN…the Tabernacle of Praise singers from
Waynesboro, TN and God’s Law from Royston, GA worked together to
carry us into His presence night after night. We also had special
singing from Jack and Kathy Griffith from Wilkesboro, NC…LaBreeska
Patton from Sparta, TN…Melanie Webb from Lawrenceburg, TN and Ramona
Brazell from N. Augusta, SC. Everyone worked together with such
unity and with one purpose….to have a move of God for those coming
with a need to receive. Each retreat is a reunion of old friends
and a time to meet new ones! Everyone came drawing nigh to His
presence and left renewed, refreshed and refilled.
We are rejoicing that my
Mom is doing well recovering from an accident Easter week. She was
hit broad side and her car was totaled. She received two broken
ribs and scrapes and bruises but she is healing and driving again.
We are so very thankful for God’s keeping power and kindness to our
family. We were with her on Easter morning rejoicing!
We are excited to add a
new link to our site. My Mom shares with me thoughts she has
received from the heart of God and insight she has from 59 years of
serving God. I have asked her to write some of these insights and
thoughts as God speaks to her. She will be adding nuggets from her
heart on a regular basis. I know you are going to enjoy these as
much as I do! They will be titled, “From Mom’s Heart…”.
We have now set our face
to prepare for Campmeeting 2007. The tent lot has been secured at a
new location beside Big Lots and across from the Microtel Motel on
Hwy 52 South (1141 Andy Griffith Parkway). Mike and Sally are
sending flyers with the details of the meeting. We will also be
sending packets to our pastors to be posted in the churches. If you
are not on the mailing list, send us an email with your address or
you can watch the site for details! This is a time of great
refreshing. Pastors, evangelists, teachers, singers and musicians
gather from several states to give and receive. We draw from our
well for others and we all draw from His well of Living Water. You
will not want to miss these meetings! It is an old time Pentecostal
tent meeting focusing on the visitation of His presence.
There will be a
Minister’s Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, July 7 at 10:00AM. This is
a great time for ministers and their spouses to come together in
fellowship and share their heart. Insights from pastors for
evangelists and evangelist’s insights for pastors is a welcome part
of the meeting. It is always encouraging to hear the obstacles we
are facing are common among the ministry. When this meeting comes
to an end, we are able to say that we have received “apples of gold
in pictures of silver”.
Ronnie and I have
purchased a Silver Eagle bus that has been converted to a motorhome.
We are now completing the conversion hoping to have it ready by
Campmeeting. After traveling in a Toyota Corolla, GMC Safari
minivan, full size conversion van, three cadillacs and two suburbans,
we are excited to have our home with us without the need to move our
suitcase in and out every third day. Hold us up in prayer as we
complete this new project.
We have several ladies’
meetings scheduled in the next two months. Check our Revival
Schedule page for the dates of these upcoming meetings. We are
speaking at one service of the Bride of Christ Retreat in Renfro
Valley, Kentucky. The Christian Embassy is having a special ladies
meeting in Athens, Georgia. We will be in Sparta, North Carolina at
the Full Gospel Church monthly ladies meeting on Saturday morning,
June 30th during our Campmeeting. Mark your calendar for
one of these meetings and get a foretaste of what we will have in
Pigeon Forge, Tennessee in November. This will be our 8th
Annual Ladies Retreat November 15-17, 2007. Ladies, make plans now
to attend!
Ronnie and I are daily
aware of a great blessing in our life. We have many friends that
are praying for us on a regular basis and we draw strength from your
prayers. We appreciate all our prayer partners and thank God upon
every remembrance of you. |

December 2007
It’s
the morning of December 14th and Ronnie and I have just
returned from twelve days
on the road. When I left it was 70 degrees…today it is 40.
Winter has arrived and we have a forecast of snow for tomorrow. I
am mailing Christmas cards and wrapping presents for the 25th.
My family is making preparations for all the brothers, sisters,
nieces and nephews to fit into my Mom’s house where we will eat,
drink, laugh, discuss presidential picks, and spend time just being
together. There will be lots of food and even more excitement as
many little ones anticipate our traditional opening of presents at
noon on Christmas Day. Paper will fly, screams will be heard and in
a few minutes we are ankle deep in the paper I am wrapping with
today! Then there will be more food, a thank you from one to
another, our Ferree family picture on the front porch of Mom’s house
(taken quickly I might add in freezing weather), and we will settle
in to spend time with one another again before the day ends.
It is one day a year. We call it Christmas. We use it as a time
to bring family together after a year of working, traveling and
going in our separate ways. I still remember this morning the
Christmas Days of many years ago…My Dad taking us through our farm
searching for the perfect tree….mom making hot cocoa from scratch
(no instant in an envelope) and sugar cookies fresh from the
oven…lots of turkey, dressing and always my dad’s favorite
(scalloped oysters), my mom’s famous banana cake…and always lots of
laughter!
For nine years now my Dad has been gone, but our family tradition
carries on. We have an artificial tree that is much easier, but
today my Mom is baking cookies and we will have lots of turkey,
dressing and because we always have….we always will have scalloped
oysters and mom’s famous banana cake….and of course, lots of
laughter!
On
this celebration of Jesus’ birth, let’s take time for the things
that are the most important in life…Him…family…friends….and of
course, lots of laughter! Time to remember good memories (if I had
bad ones, I shredded them from my memory), spend time with those you
love and if you can’t be together…take time to remember when you
could and be thankful. I’m thankful this morning for this Christmas
but also for all those behind me.

January 2008
We
are into another new year. 2008 has already begun and we are
experiencing a fresh move of God in our meetings. We left home on
the 1st and have traveled through Georgia into Florida
and have several revivals here. The weather is warm and beautiful
while we are having snow and cold back home. But the greatest thing
is we are witnessing a move of God in each of our meetings here.
Souls are being saved and a fresh fire is burning in the hearts of
His believers. Revival fire is burning again!
We are approaching our first Winter
Campmeeting in Johnson City, Tennessee at the Bible Church with
my brother, Mike Ferree and Cecil Hamby. January 30th
through February 2nd we will be having morning and
evening services and expecting no less than we have had in the
summer in Mount Airy and the fall in Bethel Springs…a visitation
of His presence! Make plans now to attend some of these
meetings and we know you will be blessed.
Our Spring Retreat is swiftly approaching
in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. We will begin March 20, Thursday
evening with two services on Friday and Saturday ending with the
morning service. We always enjoy the time of fellowship with the
meal together on Friday afternoon. Singers, musicians, pastors and
evangelists will be coming in from many different areas. Set your
calendar to be a part of this meeting. There is a $20 registration
fee to cover the cost of the convention center. All the information
on how to register and the phone number for the motel is listed on
our bulletin page.
We are revamping our mailing list this
year. If you have an email address that you will submit to
trammellministry@aol.com, we will add you to our internet mail
list and send the newsletter to you by internet and cut down the
cost of our postage. Several of you are watching our schedule on
the web already and we would like to build an internet mail list. We
will be contacting you with upcoming events from time to time. Send
us your name, address, phone and email address and we will stop your
newsletter by mail.
Ladies, we have already set the dates for the
Ladies Retreat in November so you can mark you calendar and
make plans now. November 20-22 will be the dates and all details
will be listed on the Ladies Retreat page.
We anticipate a fresh move of God in the
meetings in 2008! We have seen many storms and difficulties in
’07 that has created a desperate cry of hunger within the saints of
God. He is answering us with a visitation of His presence.
Make plans to meet with us somewhere in revival this year!
We love you.

April 2008
Spring
is finally here! Trees are green and daffodils are blooming.
We are mowing, planting
and cleaning out the dead branches left from a long winter
season.
|
This time of
year always inspires me to organize, clean closets, open windows
to let fresh air flow into a house closed up to heat for several
months. There are weeds to pull, windows to wash and sweaters
to put away.
Winter has ended!
Our first Winter Campmeeting was in Johnson City, Tennessee at the Bible
Church this year. We joined with my brother, Mike Ferree and
Cecil Hamby for a week of visitation! Many pastors and
evangelists came together to draw from their wells with living
water. We have DVDs of each morning and evening service. They
will inspire and refresh your spirit. You can order them
through
trammellministry@aol.com.
In March our
Spring Retreat was by far the best one ever. He visited with
His people in a special way. It was a great way to bring winter
to a close…with a breath of fresh air. Many lives were changed
and hearts touched as His presence filled each meeting. We have
already reserved the convention center for next year’s meeting.
You can watch for the upcoming Spring dates and make your plans
now to bring your family!
We have much
to be thankful for this spring. Ronnie’s sister, Virginia, was
close to death with emphysema and double pneumonia in March but
God in His mercy smiled on the family and heard our prayers.
Many of you joined with us praying for Gin for several weeks
when there was no good report. We are now thrilled to report to
you victory in Jesus! She is home praising God for His divine
touch!
We are now
looking ahead to our Tent Meeting/Campmeeting in Mt Airy, North
Carolina with Mike and Cecil June 26-July 5. The lot has been
reserved on Hwy 52 beside Big Lots and we have sent mail to our
entire mailing list plus packets to our pastors. If you have
not received your flyer, email us to make sure we have your
email or home address.
We will have
a special Minister’s Prayer Breakfast on July 5 at 10:00am at
the Golden Corral banquet room. This is always a special
meeting for fellowship between ministers sharing food,
fellowship and the secrets to success in their local church and
evangelistic ministry. All ministers and their wives or
husbands are invited to attend this meeting. You can sign up by
sending your name to our email address.
You can find
a list of motels with their phone numbers listed on our bulletin
page. Call and make your reservations today. You will not want
to miss this great time of fellowship and worship. We will meet
you under the tent!
We have
started an email mailing list to offset the cost of postage. If
you would like to receive your flyers and newsletter by email,
send your name and email address to
trammellministry@aol.com.
*Today as I
finish writing this From the Heart… letter we are in South
Carolina preparing for the funeral services of Ronnie’s older
brother, Ernest. Please hold the family in your prayers as we
walk through this difficult separation…only to be reunited
when the morning comes.
Ronnie and I
covet your prayers and are so thankful for your support both
spiritually and financially down through the years. We consider
you our family…more than partners…that walk with us each day
carrying this glorious gospel. We love you. Thank you. See
you soon.

September 2008
|
We are coming to the close of our summer season and
heading into fall. The ministry has been extremely busy this year. We have had
many ups and downs and God has been faithful in each of them! |
|
Our
Campmeeting in Mount Airy, NC was such a time of visitation! We
saw many old friends and met new ones in the midst of old-time
revival presence that left us renewed and refreshed! By the
second night we had several testimonies of healings taking place
in that beautiful presence! Each year we say it has been the
greatest Campmeeting ever. This was no different….the greatest
one yet!
We are now
making preparations for our Fall Campmeeting in Bethel Springs,
TN in October. Make your plans now to join with us for five
days filled with a touch of God that will change your life! We
will begin the morning services on Wednesday at 10:00AM with a
lunch following provided by our host pastor and church, Sister
Marlene Austin and the Victory Temple women. There are motels
in nearby Selmer and Henderson, TN and 30 minutes to Jackson, TN
and Corinth, MS. We look forward to seeing you there!
Our Winter
Ladies Retreat is almost here! The pastor packets have been
mailed to your churches with flyers and registration forms. We
are preparing our newsletter to mail individual registration
forms to you. If you are not on our mailing list, you can
download the registration form from our Ladies Meeting page and
mail to PO Box 125 Willisburg, KY 40078. The block of rooms
are being held until October 20th and after that they
will be open to the general public. To make sure your room is
at the Ramada Inn next to the Convention Center, call
1-800-523-3919 and mention He Died For Me Ministries to get the
special rate and assure we get credit for your stay. We have
held 70 rooms in the block so call today and make your
reservation!
Ronnie and
I just completed a week’s vacation at home. I guess vacation is
the word to describe….building fence, mowing, spring cleaning
again, weeding a month’s supply of deeply rooted strangers in
our landscaping! We worked each day from morning until night
but came away rested, refreshed and ready to be with you in
meeting again.
Thank you
for praying with us and for us as we walk down roads we have
never traveled before and face obstacles that are new in our
lives. God has been so faithful and our hearts are filled with
praises today as we travel to our next meeting.
Thank you.
We love you.

A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER
The Ferree
household is always an adventure come Christmas morning. There
are always 40-50 people ranging from age 78 down to the newest
addition to the family. Then there are always girlfriends,
boyfriends, and just friends coming to join for the food and
fellowship.
We begin
Christmas morning as everyone gathers in the kitchen with appetizers
homemade especially for this day...cheese and crackers, seafood dip,
beef log, stuffed mushrooms, hash brown casserole, meatballs and
little hot dogs in a new sauce all a part of our waiting for
everyone to arrive. We gather in the kitchen and eat while
others heat the last dish for dinner or bake the last pie or of
course, cook Mom's wonderful homemade noodles. As Ferree's, we
fellowship best around the table!
Next, we have
our traditional family picture that includes all family and guests
for this year as we gather outside in 25-30 degree weather for 10
minutes while our remote control camera quickly snaps pictures
hopefully with everyone's eyes open and faces turned toward the
camera with a big smile.
For about 15
minutes it is absolute chaos as we give gifts to big kids and small
kids alike with smiles, shouts, thank you and do you have another
one for me?
Then there is
the rush to the kitchen for a meal that we talk about for days and
never forget from one year to another. There is always turkey,
ham, scalloped oysters, dressing, potatoes, cole slaw, scalloped
corn, green beans, broccoli casserole, deviled eggs, Mom's famous
homemade noodles, and whatever the new recipe is for this year.
Then we are off to dessert, apple pie, pecan pie, Shelly's
traditional ice cream dessert that goes first every year and never a
Christmas without my Mom's delicious banana cake.
Now, too much
food and we move to the living room to discuss how great that meal
was, how much we love our new gift....and the secret behind it
all...how much we love all being together for Christmas!
We could do
without the gifts or the picture or the food....but we must be
together for Christmas.
