April 2004 We have just finished our 3rd Annual Spring Retreat in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and we are already hearing reports of how God’s visitation changed lives and prepared hearts for the battles that were awaiting their return home. We had friends from Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, West Virginia, Mississippi, Illinois and Indiana. We had great services and wonderful fellowship. After our Friday morning service, Ronnie and I always look forward to hosting a delicious hot buffet. It is a time of making new friends and revisiting with old ones. Saturday morning is always the highlight of the weekend and His visitation was at a peak as prophecy flowed like a river and hearts melted in His presence. We are so thankful for all the musicians and singers that came ready to take part in the meeting. Everyone flowed with such unity in the praise and worship drawing from their own well for us to drink. We appreciated every pastor and evangelist that helped in the meetings by letting their gift be made manifest. It was truly a joy for Ronnie and I, after so much preparation, to see the fruit of our labors! Thanks to all of you that came, who helped with the video taping, watching our tables, registering and greeting the guests, holding our hands up with your kind offerings and loading the equipment at the end. You helped as if it was your own meeting…and it was! You are such a vital part of this ministry and we appreciate your kindness so very much! Thank You. We love you. We are now looking toward the 2nd Annual Tent Meeting in Mount Airy, North Carolina. Last year’s meeting was such a great success with a visitation of His presence night after night with souls saved, hearts mended and bodies healed. We anticipate another great outpouring of His Spirit! For pictures of last year’s meeting, visit our Tent Page. During the day there is much to see and enjoy. Mount Airy is the setting for Mayberry with Aunt Bee’s Restaurant, Snappy’s Lunch with the largest pork tenderloin sandwiches you have ever eaten, Floyd’s Barber Shop and Barney’s car in front of the Mayberry Inn. Mount Pilot (Pilot Mountain) is near with a view that will take your breath away. You can ride the Blue Ridge Parkway or travel to Winston Salem thirty minutes away for all kinds of shopping and sightseeing. Visit Old Salem and watch time roll back to the day when the Moravians lived a much slower pace. Enjoy a leisurely walk through their community, see their handmade crafts and be certain to eat the paper thin Moravian sugar or ginger snap cookies baked in their own ovens with no electricity. Mike Ferree, Cecil Hamby and Ronnie and I are looking forward to all the pastors, evangelists, singers and musicians coming in to work together in this great meeting. Make plans now to attend ten days of power packed services June 24 through July 3! There are several motels and bed and breakfasts in the area and we will list a few of them for your convenience. Ronnie and I have another tent meeting July 8-17 with Bobby Bell in Savannah, Tennessee. The tent will be located beside the Worley Bird Restaurant on Hwy ? . Bobby and I will be trading off preaching different nights with his wife, Tina singing and playing keyboard and Ronnie singing and playing the guitar. July 29 through August 7 Ronnie and I will be back in Moline for our 10th Annual Tent Meeting in the Quad Cities area. This year we have moved from a tent to a building on the fairgrounds. We are hoping this will be a pleasant change after weathering storms nearly every year in the tent! This time has become like a homecoming revival after so many years. We love the people of the Quad Cities and look forward to seeing you again this year! We have already reserved the Smoky Mountain Convention Center-Ramada Inn for the 4th Annual Ladies Retreat again this year. Mark your calendar and begin making plans for this time as a getaway in this winter wonderland with the ladies from your church November 18-20. We are already gathering door prizes and getting things prepared for your arrival! Before we know it, it will be winter again and the snow will begin to fall. Take time to smell the flowers, enjoy your spring, visit your Mom and Dad, kiss your husband or wife, hug your children, be kind to one another and remember to thank Him for all His abundant blessings. Let this spring have a theme for us all…”love one another as I have loved you.”
