January 2004
It seems like only yesterday I was
writing the first letter for 2003. I
remember the morning I sat down to write the first letter for 2000.
Now we are embarking on 2004! Every
year is the same….a new horizon. My
devotional scripture for January 1 is …a land of hills and valleys.
So it is for us today. We
are going into a year full of new experiences, trials, heartaches and victories.
We shall pass through…all the way through. No trial lasts forever, no heart aches forever, no valley is
unending. It only appears to be so
as we journey. I am always excited to enter into a
new year. I can barely sleep for
thinking of new resolutions and commitments and goals to set for this new year.
I refuse to continue in the same place year after year.
I am searching for another avenue to better serve Him and to better
please Him than any year before. We ended this year with a time of
fellowship with our families. After
a year of being away from home and family, it is important to take time for our
families and let our hearts be renewed for another year of service.
We have much to be thankful for and we end this year with a central
theme….a season of thanksgiving. We
are thankful for friends, family, pastors and churches across America with an
open door to us. We are most
thankful for His call to serve! It
is an honor to be His servant. Twenty-nine
years ago, on my knees bound by a narcotic addiction my prayer was…if you will
take this addiction from me, I will be YOUR SERVANT for the rest of the days of
my life. I consider it such an
honor to still be fulfilling that call. We have a new secretary this year! We are so happy to have Lynda Scyphers working with us.
She will be handling the newsletter and special flyers we mail to you and
your churches. If you are not on our mailing list, be sure and send your
address to our email trammellministry@aol.com.
She is also mailing our Tape of the Month.
It is a live service from one of our revival meetings.
We ask for a $5.00 love offering to cover the tape and mailing and to
partner with us in this work. If
you are not currently receiving the tape, you may also request it through our
email address. Lynda’s husband,
Mike, is maintaining our web site.
If you enjoy the changes we are making to the site, please let us know.
We are so thankful to have the Scyphers working with us to change lives
and carry this glorious gospel of Jesus Christ! The 3rd Annual Ladies
Retreat in Pigeon Forge, TN was once again a great success.
God met us with such a visitation of His presence.
Women were brought back to their covenant with Him, several women
received their healing both physically and emotionally and a wind
blew across the coals of fire within us to set us ablaze once again.
We want to thank each of you who attended and for the unity you brought
into this meeting. We are now planning the Spring
Revival in Pigeon Forge. The dates
will be April 15-17. The meeting
will begin on Thursday night at 7:00PM with two services on Friday and the final
service Saturday at 10:00AM. We
will have a catered hot lunch after the Friday morning service.
This is a great time of fellowship for everyone attending.
Ronnie and I always look forward to this time we can spend with our
friends and supporters. The
location will be the Smoky Mountain Convention Center next door to the Ramada
Inn. Even though this is the high
season for tourists, they have given us a special rate of $75.00 per night for a
room with 2 queen beds and up to four people per room.
You must make your reservations directly to the Ramada Inn at
1-800-523-3919 and be sure to mention “He Died For Me Ministries” to receive
the special rate and for us to receive credit toward the cost of the meeting
space. The registration fee of $20
is to be sent directly to He Died For Me Ministries, PO Box 125 Willisburg, KY
40078 by April 9. This
covers the cost of your catered meal and a portion of the meeting space fee. We
hope you will start now making plans to join us in April.
Spring is a beautiful time in the Smoky Mountains.
Pigeon Forge is a great place for family with many restaurants, shops and
sights to see. You can visit the Aquarium in Gatlinburg, Ripley’s Believe
It or Not, Dollywood,
candy shops, outlet malls and more restaurants than you will have time to
visit! Then you will have four
great services filled with a touch of His presence!
Let this be a weekend to remember. We
look forward to seeing you there! Would you consider becoming a partner
with us at “He Died For Me” Ministries.
We need your prayerful support as we set goals for this year to become
His hands extended. We will
communicate with you concerning the needs of the ministry and ask for your
prayerful agreement until we see answers accomplished.
If you would like to become a prayer partner, let us hear from you. Ronnie and I pray that 2004 will hold your greatest accomplishments, greatest victories and greatest joys! May you find the comfort of His touch, the safety of His love and the joy of His presence in this new year.
