September 2004

Summer is rapidly coming to a close.  Soon our nights will have a crisp bite and we will pull out our jackets.  It seems only a few days ago, I was writing about planting flowers for spring.  Another season has come and gone.

We had our 3rd Annual Spring Revival in Pigeon Forge, TN in April.  God was so faithful to visit us once again.  Our friends came together from Illinois, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Louisiana, Kentucky, Virginia and West Virginia for a great time of fellowship and worship.  Many pastors came with their wells full to draw out to anyone who was thirsty.  It was so refreshing to see ministers flowing together to bring an outpouring for the body of Christ.  On Friday we have a meal together that is the atmosphere of our family reunions from years gone by…meeting new family and getting reacquainted with old. This is always such a special time especially for Ronnie and I to say thank you to our friends that have stood with us throughout the year.

We would like to say a special thank you to the ladies from the Bible Church in Johnson City, Tennessee for all their help.  They volunteered to take pictures, run the video camera and fill in at any needed place.  There is much work to be done in order to bring everything together and we are so thankful for their help in making it flow so smoothly.

June was our 2nd Annual Tent Meeting in Mount Airy, North Carolina with my brother, Mike Ferree and Cecil Hamby.  The five-fold ministry flowed together as we met under the tent night after night.  We came away refreshed from His presence being in our midst.  We are still drawing strength from the holy visitation that swept through the tent on Saturday night.  After we had done all we could do, He showed up to give His seal of approval and change the lives of everyone present.  Without His visitation, it is just another gathering.  With His visitation it is a life-changing experience!

August was our 10th year to bring the tent to the Quad Cities in East Moline, Illinois.  This year we brought the tent meeting INDOORS!  We were at the same location at the fairgrounds but on a concrete floor with large doors that we could close when the 70mph winds hit!  The storm seems to be a yearly happening with strong winds and rain.  This year there were no curtains flapping…just the lowering of large doors to shield us from the weather.  By the end of the week, we had seen many lives changed by the touch of His mighty hand.  His presence was so real and our hearts melted in His presence.  The building came with a great expense which seemed at the time to be a load almost too heavy to carry but by the end of the meeting we realized it was a small price to pay for the changing of lives!  Once again we drove away thanking God for His visitation.

Labor Day weekend we joined the Dove Fellowship Campmeeting in Olds, Iowa.  We were so pleased to be with Pastor White and his church again this year.  We met several new pastors in the Iowa area and are looking forward to fellowshipping with them in their local churches in the coming months.  There is nothing greater than being IN HIS PRESENCE with HIS PEOPLE reaching out to TOUCH HIM!

We are now looking ahead to the 4th Annual Ladies Winter Retreat in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.  We are ordering the meal, reserving our rooms and gathering door prizes for the ladies.  The packets have been mailed out to the pastors with flyers and registration forms.  We have also mailed the newsletter with a registration form enclosed.  If you have not received your mail from us, please contact us soon by phone or email.  The block of rooms is being held until October 18 with the group rate of $59.00 through He Died For Me Ministries.  Lynda Hylton will once again be opening each service with praise and worship.  Lynda has been with us each year since our beginning.  She is always such a highlight in the services.  You can sample some of Lynda’s singing by going to her web site www.iouministries.com

I believe this year’s retreat will far supercede any we have had until now.  I feel a special healing outpouring has been reserved for the ladies coming for their touch from God.  Please make your plans now to be with us!

We would like to thank all our friends that partner with us to help carry this precious gospel.  Keeping us in your daily prayers is the wind beneath our wings.  Your support whether periodically or on a monthly basis makes it possible to fulfill this vision to change lives in local churches, rented buildings and tent meetings all year long.  Thank you.  We love you.  May His richest blessings be yours!
