SPRING IS HERE! Our flowers are beginning to bloom in Kentucky and Ronnie has mowed the grass several times and I have battled allergies due to the freshly mown grass!!!! After a long winter season (and 2 broken ribs from the ice storm in February), it is so refreshing to smell the fragrance of blooming flowers and watch the birds gather around the feeders. The hummingbirds have returned and the bluebirds are building their nests for their young. Spring is here! We have had an extremely busy winter with several meetings in the Florida area ending with the tent meeting in Wahneta (Winter Haven) the end of March. We are so happy to report 11 souls won into the kingdom of God in the 10 day tent meeting with my brother Mike Ferree and his family. We so appreciate Randy Baldwin for setting his tent and preparing a lot for the meeting. God was so good to us every night and there is no better harvest than to see lives changed....several coming off drugs and returning night after night for another touch of God! We had our Spring Family Retreat in Pigeon Forge, TN in April and I can say without reservation this was our best year ever! We had 21 pastors and evangelists tag team preaching, more singers than I can mention and musicians from 4 different states playing together on the platform in such unity as if they were a group playing together all the time! Each pastor and evangelist shared from their heart powerful words of encouragement for us with each one building from the foundation laid before him. We had such a spirit of prayer for the families of everyone attending and we have continued to hear reports of mom's being saved, daughters and sons turning from prescription drug addiction and healings as we agreed together in prayer in Jesus Name! Ronnie and I would like to thank everyone who took part in these meetings....not just the preachers, singers and musicians....but everyone who attended these services. Without your presence, the meeting would not have been the same. Thank you and we look forward to 2010. We held our first Camp meeting in Wolftown, Virginia with Pastor Jeff Shifflett and the Wolftown Pentecostal Chapel. There are no words to describe how powerful the meetings were and how God changed lives in each of the nine services. The church had prepared both their facility and their hearts for camp meeting. We felt the spirit of excitement as we drove onto the parking lot Tuesday afternoon to set up our equipment. We knew a visitation of His presence was soon to follow. We were not disappointed! Each service built from the service before carrying us into His presence....His wind blowing upon coals and reigniting the fire of the Holy Ghost in His sons and daughters! They reported 15 healings (with some of them being instant miracles) during the nine services. The ladies of the church cooked delicious meals after each morning meeting and we all joined together for good food and fellowship in between meetings. It was a welcomed refreshing to all of us and we look forward already to next year! Thank you Pastor Shifflett. We are preparing to join Mike and his family again in the tent this time in Rayville, LA May 14-22 on Highway 80W. We have preached for the Temple family in Bee Bayou and Delhi and Pastor Ron Charrier in Crowville and Annie Farmer in Pioneer for many, many years. We look forward to all joining together for this tent meeting expecting a great move of God. We will miss Sister Clara Temple, the pastor of Full Gospel Fellowship in Bee Bayou for many years before passing it on to her son, Terry and Lindy Temple. We attended her home going today (May 6) while in Louisiana in revival with Pastor Charrier. What a celebration....singing and praising God remembering what a tremendous impact she had on all of our lives. We will miss her in our meeting but heaven just became a little sweeter! Mike and Sally have sent the first mail out for our annual Camp meeting in Mount Airy, NC this week. If you have not received your mail and would like to be on the mailing list, send us an email with your name and address and we will be glad to send you information concerning this and other meetings. Make your plans now to join us June 25-July 4 for ten nights of Camp meeting under the tent. This is always such a special meeting with friends coming in from many different states. Preaching together, singing together and worshipping the King until His wind sweeps through the tent night after night! Watch the Camp meeting page of our site for more details and a list of motels in the area. We look forward to seeing you there! Ronnie has prepared a special day in the park for Saturday, August 22....Pickin' in the Park 2009 in the W. Kerr Scott Dam and Reservoir State Park in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. He has 19 singers and singing groups joining together for an all day free concert in the park. We will be singing, praising God, fellowshipping, eating hot dogs and giving out door prizes with a grand prize in the evening. You will not want to miss this special event Ronnie has in store for you! You can go to his Concert Page to see details of the concert and a list of all those taking part. This has been a very fruitful 2009 so far and we look forward to what He has in store for us in the months ahead. We have met so many new pastors this year and have seen such a move of God. Please hold us up in prayer as we continue to carry this precious gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ! |
